Clinical Supervision – Counsellors
Support Suite provides clinical supervision with a focus on skill building, increasing knowledge and supporting the learning needs of counsellors working with NDIS clients.
Clinical Supervision supports counsellors to provide confident, professional, reflective and person-centred counselling to their clients. It is also a requirement of membership bodies, such as the Australian Counselling Association, to access regular supervision in order to maintain their registration.
Nicole Jackson is registered with the Australian Counselling Associations College of Supervisors to provide supervision that is supportive, collaborative, educative and aimed at meeting the learning needs of the supervisee whilst also focused on exploring the specific and unique needs of their clients. Nicole is passionate about supporting people with disability, their families and carers and has worked with this client group for over 30 years, five of which have been in private practice providing counselling to people with disability. She also has a strong desire to support other counsellors working with this client group to thrive and achieve positive outcomes for the individuals they work with.
- Supervision sessions can be individual or in small group.
- Sessions can be conducted online.
- Face to face sessions are available in the Mudgee Region only.
External Supervision – Disability Support Workers, Coordinators and Managers
Having worked in disability support services and managed teams of disability support workers, Nicole has a unique understanding of the challenges and issues faced by workers in this sector. External supervision can provide an opportunity for disability support workers and senior staff to confidentially discuss and reflect on client issues, strategies and goal setting, ethical dilemmas and guidance to address challenging situations in the workplace.
